Samsung, the leading Korean electronics company, has recently launched a new laptop to the mid-price segment and it has already proved to be a success. The new model is called RF710 and you will be able to have access to two different models namely NP-RF710-S05DE and NP-RF710-S06DE. There is not a big difference between the two versions and they even share some of the features. Let’s have a look at the main features of the RF710 in order to help you make the final decision to move to a Samsung laptop.
Outside Features
At first sight the RF710 has a stunning design and maybe that is down to the fact that the top case has a bluish tone and the soft finish makes it a real good option for those who have to handle it on a daily basis. When you open the lid you will notice that the inside of the laptop is brown and contrary to the outside, the inside is not shiny. The design and materials used for the Samsung RF710 make it a perfect laptop. One thing to consider is that the screen and the frame that contains it gets dirty really quickly if you are not careful. This new Samsung has been built with a 17.3 inches screen with a resolution of 16:9 that will enable you to have more than two windows opened at the same time. One thing to mention about the Samsung RF710 is that the quality of images is not as good as one would expect from a Samsung gadget. Although the laptop has great luminance it is not advisable to use in the open air because the image gets a bit blurry. The reason is down to the fact that the surface has a shiny finish that reflects the light too much.

The Samsung RF710 has been built with the four cores Intel i7 processor with a processing speed of 1.6 GHz. However, the i7 comes with TurboBoost technology that will enable your laptop to get an impressive boost of up 2.8 GHz. This processor will also allow you to use several programs at the same time without getting laggard. This laptop comes with L3 cache of 6 MB. One downside of the Samsung RF710 is that it does not come with integrated image card. The graphic card it has is the GeForce GT 420M that does not provide a great gaming experience. Something else you should consider is the fact that is consumes up to 45 W, which is considerably high for a laptop. The laptop comes with Windows 7 Experience that will be useful for those who are used to that program. This laptop comes with a lithium-ion battery of six cells and it will last for about seventy-five minutes, which is not too much for such a laptop.
